Pivot Penthouse

Pivot house is comprised of an additional floor on an existing villa wishing to, along with a redesign of the original façade and gate. The new penthouse is composed of two private apartments each with access to fresh-air courtyards, bringing the landscape in. The façade contrasts the new build with a darker modern tone, while the classic mini balconies are extended to provided uninterrupted lines to give a modern aesthetic. All dwelling spaces share an entry however maintain privacy and a 'buffer zone' for noise. Each zone of the penthouse is finished differently surrounding the personality of the user; neutral and calm on one end juxtaposed with dark and somber on the other.
